Hestehytten is one of the island’s soldiers’ cottages and is administered by Christiansø Administration.
Hestehytten is primarily reserved for people with close connections to Christiansø to give them an opportunity to holiday on Christiansø. For example, it is available to the relatives of former islanders who no longer have family on the island they can stay with. However, every year from 1 April, Hestehytten opens vacant periods up for booking by outsiders.
Hestehytten is heated and can be used all year round.
Prices
Per week: DKK 2,625–DKK 5,040 depending on the season
Per day: DKK 550–785 depending on the season
During the peak season, 15/6–15/8, it is only possible to book on a weekly basis from Sunday to Sunday.
Facilities
Hestehytten is furnished like a summer cottage with room for a family of up to 6 people. The ground floor has a living room, kitchen and toilet/shower, and there are two bedrooms on the top floor. There is also a small garden with a barbecue and garden furniture.
